After a long wait, the proper postseason in the Mexican flight kicks off with some electric fixtures. Follow them with our broadcast information.

The final stage of the Mexican tournament will begin in just a few hours, with eight teams still involved in the tournament following the results of last week's play-in, which curiously enough, resulted in the seventh and eighth-ranked teams making the playoffs.

All of these ties will have some historic element that will make them even more interesting for those watching, and as a bonus to fans from all across the globe, three of the four most popular teams will be involved in the title race. To top it all, the most successful team in the past decade will join them trying to add another title to their resume.

There will be two games being played on Wednesday and two more on Thursday. The next matches for this stage of the competition will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Without further ado, let's look at all the fixtures.

Wednesday, November 29

León vs América - The away side are named by most experts as the top title contenders, but to honor those odds, they will need to beat a club that has defeated them twice in their last three Liguilla meetings. León claimed the final spot in the playoffs thanks to their win against Santos last Sunday, but that win did not come cheap for Nicolás Larcamón's men, who lost Fidel Ambriz (red card) and Lucas Romero (concussion) during that game. León might have beaten América before in a playoff stage, but that is not the case for their coach, Nicolás Larcamón, who has gone ten games without a win against América, losing six of those and being eliminated by Las Águilas in two prior Quarterfinal meetings.

Atlético San Luis vs Monterrey - The team owned by Atlético Madrid enter another playoff stage, and they will get to face a familiar foe. Los Tuneros are considered the weakest side in this playoff stage, but they have beaten Monterrey in a preliminary stage back in 2022, and to make it even more interesting, they found a way to edge coach Fernando Ortíz one goal away from elimination in the most recent Liguilla. Los Rayados have been quite inconsistent this season, but even with those problems, they nabbed the second spot of the table while sorting out injury issues to some of their top players. San Luis have only beaten Monterrey once in their last five matches at Alfonso Lastras Stadium, and if they want to continue dreaming about a spot in the next round, they must find a way to claim a victory here.

Thursday, November 30

Puebla vs Tigres UANL - La Franja returns to the playoffs with high hopes, but they will be baptized under fire in their first KO tie, as they got to face the defending champions. Tigres have proven to be quite a threat on the road, and to make things even better for them, their coach has only lost once in nine meetings against Puebla. The Clausura 2023 champions get to the playoffs on a three-game streak without a win, while Puebla won three in a row to secure a spot in the postseason. Will this be the first major shock of the tournament, or will the higher-seeded team prevail once again?

Guadalajara vs Pumas UNAM - In what could be the most appealing Quarterfinal tie, the Clausura 2023 runnners-up face Pumas, a team led by the most experienced coach in this edition of the Liga MX playoffs. These teams have faced each other in a variety of KO matches, including the most recent that went Guadalajara's way with a 4-1 win in the Clausura 2022 tournament. Nonetheless, proper Liguilla meetings in the 21st Century have gone Pumas' way, as the team from Mexico City has won their two most recent ties, including the title match in 2004 and a semi-final tie in 2011. Speaking of their coaches, Antonio Mohamed has beaten Chivas in seven of his 17 previous clashes, and to top it all, the most recent clash between these clubs ended with a one-nil win for Pumas. Will this be a sign of things to come, or will home-field advantage have a say in the outcome of this game?
