Preview

The UEFA Champions League round of 16 comes to a wrap on Wednesday, with Dortmund vs. PSV being one of the two final fixtures. Signal Iduna will be the venue for this 4 p.m. ET showdown as the German heavyweights look to use their home advantage to overcome the Eredivisie leaders.

Dortmund managed a 1-1 draw in the first leg and while they took the lead courtesy of a 24th-minute Donyell Malen goal, Luuk de Jong canceled this out just before the hour mark. However, the bigger disappointment came after that game, with BVB losing 3-2 at home to Hoffenheim immediately after.

Fortunately, Terzic's side have bounced back, winning their last two matches. Nonetheless, die Schwarzgelben sit fourth in their domestic league and will have to overcome a recent wobbly run at home.

Dortmund have slipped up in four of their last 10 home matches and while only one of those four fixtures ended in a defeat, this is still a worrying statistic. Additionally, BVB have made the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals only once in their last six attempts.

PSV have not been without slip-ups since the first leg either. However, unlike with Dortmund, Boeren's slip-up came against their closest rivals in the table: Feyenoord. These two Dutch powerhouses met over a week ago and played out a 2-2 draw at the Philips Stadion.

Peter Bosz's side took the lead but ultimately needed a 71st-minute goal from Guus Til to rescue a point against the Rotterdam giants. That result also maintained PSV's 10-point lead at the top of their domestic top flight.

However, Luuk de Jong and Co. have not been fantastic away from home in the UEFA Champions League this season. The Eredivisie leaders have won only one game on the road in Europa and that was a 3-2 triumph over Sevilla. Elsewhere, they drew at Lens and were thrashed 4-0 at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Dortmund are yet to lose a game at home in Europe. However, the German side have dropped points at Westfalenstadion already, drawing against AC Milan and PSG. If PSV pull off a draw, then fans could be treated to another nail-biting penalty shootout just one day after Arsenal overcame Porto on spot kicks.

Team news

Dortmund: Sebastien Haller and Samuel Bamba are BVB's only injury concerns. Elsewhere, Terzic has a fit squad to choose from.

PSV: Noa Lang is injured while Joey Veerman and Ismael Saibari are doubts, thus leaving the visitors in a pickle. Meanwhile, Johan Bakayoko, who did not feature over the weekend, could return to the lineup for this tie.
