The last-eight fixtures have been decided. Pep Guardiola's reigning champions will face record winners Real Madrid while the Gunners will have to overcome Bayern Munich if they are to make the semifinals for the first time since 2009.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals is complete, with the last eight of the 2023-24 edition handing fans several mouth-watering match-ups.

The standout fixture will see title holders Manchester City lock horns with the competition's most successful team in history Real Madrid in a repeat of last season's semifinal.

And similar to last season, Los Blancos will face Guardiola's side at Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg. In the 2022-23 edition, Ancelotti's men drew 1-1 at home to Haaland and Co. but suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat in the return leg at the Etihad Stadium. Will Vinicius Jr. and Co. dish out revenge this year?

This quarterfinal is merely one out of a handful of exciting showdowns, with another being Arsenal's clash with Bayern Munich. The Premier League leaders beat Porto on penalties to make the quarterfinals for the first time since 2010 but will face the team that infamously beat them 10-2 on aggregate in the round of 16 in 2017.

Additionally, PSG will lock horns with Spanish giants Barcelona. Ironically, Luis Enrique, the manager who led the Catalan giants to that historic remontada against the French giants, will now be in the dugout for the Paris outfit when they face the Blaugrana.

And finally, we have Atletico Madrid vs. Dortmund, with Diego Simeone looking to make the semifinals after overcoming runaway Serie A leaders Inter Milan on penalties in the round of 16.

On an interesting note, the semifinal fixtures were also decided in this draw. Not only will Premier League leaders Arsenal have to overcome Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals, but the North London giants will also face the winner of the Real Madrid vs. Manchester City fixture in the semifinal. The winner of the PSG vs. Barcelona quarterfinal, on the other hand, will face either Atletico Madrid or Dortmund.
