Ligue 1 - Matchday 37 overview

Monaco may be out of the Champions League, but Les Rouges-et-Blancs can still have their heads held up high. The young side put in an excellent performance during the course of their European campaign, and did what Porto, and more significant, Barcelona could not do against Juventus: to score. Leonardo Jardim's side are the only team to breach La Vecchia Signora's back-line over the course of the knockout rounds. And despite losing in the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue - both times to PSG - they could definitely still have something to celebrate this weekend.

With a game in hand, the title is ever so closer for Monaco. They've won all of their past five fixtures and effectively could deny Les Parisiens from clinching the Ligue  title with a win against Lille. Meanwhile, Nice are six points behind the reigning champs and as such, will have to settle likely for third spot. Naturally, Lucien Favre's men will want to finish the campaign off well as they prepare to face Angers.

As for PSG, they're in action against Saint-Etienne on the road. It goes without saying that this is a must-win game for Unai Emery's side. The Spanish tactician's future with the capital club is reportedly up in the air after failing to make inroads in the Champions League, and arguably, should PSG fail to defend their Ligue 1 title, the ex-Sevilla boss may find himself out of a job come this summer.
