The Nigerian striker is wanted by several European heavyweights but Napoli's valuation might price out all but one club.

Victor Osimhen is one of the hottest strikers in world football. The Napoli sensation scored a whopping 31 goals in 39 appearances for the Serie A heavyweights as he led them to their first Scudetto since 1990.

However, his spectacular season has resulted in interest from Europe's heavyweights, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and PSG all eyeing a move for the Nigerian goalscorer.

The biggest roadblock, however, has been his asking price, with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis demanding an outrageous fee. As a result, three of the four interested parties are exploring alternatives, with the Red Devils heavily pursuing Atalanta starlet Rasmus Højlund while Chelsea and Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing Juventus ace Dusan Vlahovic.

With that in mind, De Laurentiis has issued an interesting public message to PSG. On one hand, the Gli Azzurri president looks to fend off interest in his talisman forward. However, on the other hand, he is leaving the door open to a mega-money bid from the aforementioned Ligue 1 champions.

"The only club that can afford to take Osimhen away from us is Paris Saint-Germain," De Laurentiis told Sport Mediaset, as per Football Italia.

"So if Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to take out 200 or so, then we will wait and evaluate."

The Serie A champions have already lost two key figures from their 2022/23 Scudetto win, with manager Luciano Spalletti departing while center-back Kim Min-jae is on the brink of joining Bayern Munich.

However, Osimhen will enter the final year of his contract next summer and while the Italian heavyweights are trying to extend his deal, this could be the summer to cash in big on the former Lille attacker.

Regardless, PSG are yet to show any interest in matching Napoli's valuation. As a result, a Diego Armando Maradona Stadium stay appears to be the likely outcome for Victor this upcoming season.
