If it feels like the Bundesliga fixture list is a bit congested, well, it is. All 18 teams had to play three games in the span of one week. That means, for instance, Bayern Munich were on action on April 1st, then again on the 4th and finally on the 8th, when they took on Dortmund in Der Klassiker.

Die Roten rebounded quite well from a surprise reversal to Hoffenheim midweek by blitzing die Schwarzgelben, and now they are enjoying their ten point lead on top of the table. They have already sealed their spot in the Champions League (as expected) for next season and now it's just a matter of seeing out the season. Overall, die Roten have yet to lose a game at home in all competitions thus far this season. Their four defeats at the home grounds of Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Atletico Madrid, and arguably the most shocking one of all, Russian outfit Rostov.

All in all, that does not bode well for Real Madrid and their legions of fans ahead of this week's Champions League titanic tussle!
