The Italian striker was just meters away from his own house, but he got confused and ended up banging the fender of his vehicle.

Mario Balotelli's 2020 did not start in the best possible way, as the Italian international ended his New Year's Eve celebration involved in a car accident.

According to a report by Corriere della Sera, Balotelli was going back to his house after celebrating with some friends, but as he approached his home, he realized that he was about to go into the wrong home. Unfortunately, he was not able to hit the brakes in time and he ended up hitting the fender of his car with the side of the house.

Surprisingly, Balotelli decided not to alert any authorities and chose to go inside his house (which was a few meters away) and left his banged-up car in the middle of the street. Neighbors went out of their homes to witness the moment, and some of them uploaded pictures of the car on social media.

The car was towed away by local authorities, who also made sure the footballer was fine after the incident. It is unclear at the moment if Balotelli will have to face any charges for leaving the scene...or if he will have to pay his neighbor for the damage.

The player might be one of the most sought-after players in this winter transfer window, since he has already been given green light to look for another club. Balotelli has only scored two goals in eight apps for Brescia this season, making more headlines for the racial abuse against him than for his antics on the pitch.
